Abbeyfield School - committed to providing high quality teaching in a positive learning environment and to getting the best out of every student.

We strongly believe that every students needs are different and the choices on offer must provide individuals with the greatest opportunities for success.

When students enter the school in Year 7 they study a wide range of subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities subjects, Modern Languages, Art, New Technology, Sport and the Creative Arts.

As students progress we offer a number of different pathways:

An accelerated pathway in years 10 and 11 for the most academically able which enables them to study for AS level examinations in a variety of subjects alongside Post 16 students;

A core pathway which is a traditional academic route with a wide range of choices so that students can specialise in their preferred subjects;

An Applied Learning pathway for those students who would like to do a work related course, for example motor vehicle maintenance or hair and beauty, together with other coresubjects.

These pathways ensure that every student has an opportunity to achieve their potential.

Throughout a students life at Abbeyfield School, we monitor and track their progress, in order to provide the best guidance and advice to each individual to enable them to pursue their choice of Post 16 and university courses or career.
