Somerset’s Forrest Gump visits Lympsham’s Pre-School’s holiday club for one of his ‘Talk & Run” visits

Ultra-runner Jim Plunkett-Cole has embarked on a challenge to run the route taken by Tom Hank’s character in the film Forrest Gump.

Starting in Alabama last month, he aims to cover a staggering 20,000 miles over three years, two months and 15 days, running between 16 miles to a marathon distance every day. Sponsored by Plum Communications & PR he will criss-cross the United States, and finish on 17 December, 2019 at Monument Valley, Utah.

Jim was inspired by the London 2012 Olympics and has run 10k every day continuously for the past three and half years.

He gave one of his “Talk & Run” visits at Lympsham’s Pre-School’s holiday club, just a short distance from Axbridge, to inspire the children to stay healthy and active.
