Wellbeing & Super Food Festival at Goodlands Castle, Taunton

This festival aims to celebrate wellbeing and health foods promoting healthy holistic lifestyles for everyone

New for 2018, Charley Elizabeth Events is proud to present an exciting new event – Wellbeing & Superfood Festival, being held at Woodlands Castle Conference & Events Venue in Taunton, on Sunday September 16.

The event has been founded by Charley Torr, business owner of an emerging and inspiring Somerset based business, Charley Elizabeth Events.

The festival will take place at the stunning Woodlands Castle venue, owned by Sir Benjamin Slade and located in Taunton. The venue is home to a charming 17th Century country house and beautiful garden pavilion overlooking lawns and woodland.

Visitors will be warmly welcomed with free entry to this inaugural event, which will run from 10am and close at 6pm.

There will be a talented selection of South West award-winning food suppliers serving up a feast at the festival including Japanese street food, a little Greek Food Truck, a pop-up gluten free café serving veggie, vegan and steak burgers and wraps, and a range of cakes including a superfood inspired beetroot and raw cacao brownies. Those Vegan Pizza Guys will be cooking up some delicious stone baked vegan pizzas; Styles Farmhouse will be serving their homemade quality West Country ice cream made with jersey milk and finally we will be joined by stylish, cool and contemporary bar ‘Unstabled’ who will be offering plant-based teas and cocktails with herbal infusions.

There will be a schedule of talks and fitness workshops including ‘A Talk on Reversing Diabetes’ by Allegra Nutrition, ‘Saying Goodbye to Arthritis’ by the superfood sellers at Inspired Wellbeing, ‘The Four Pillars of Holistic Health’ by the Sangha House in Taunton, and ‘Mindfulness for Busy People’ by The Changist.

The festival has an exciting line up of live music performances during the day at 12noon, 2pm and 4pm; featuring Sadie Horler an acoustic singer song writer from Devon, popular folk duo Jacob & Drinkwater, and Bruton based Abi Baker, a locally talented singer songwriter. Visitors will be able to relax outside on the lawn whilst listening to live performances on the house terrace.

Visitors will be able to join in with light hearted outdoor yoga and fitness on the lawn. At 11am Arianna of Grounded in Silence will be offering Anusara-Inspired yoga suitable for all levels & abilities. Later Luisia Skinner Personal Trainer and The Little Yoga Cabin will be offering yoga and fitness sessions on the lawn at 1pm and 3pm.

There will also be sand craft art and lawn games including a coconut shy, hoopla and hook a duck for the children.
