Bonfire Night: Firework displays in Somerset

Expect a lot of ‘oooohs and ahhhhhs’ as Guy Fawkes Night is nearly upon us and the Somerset skies will be lit up with dazzling displays of fireworks. We round-up the Bonfire Night celebrations in the region

Fireworks & Fun, Animal Farm Family Theme Park in Berrow

When: 5pm-11pm, Saturday October 27

Animal Farm Family Theme Park will host its annual firework display and bonfire, promising to be bigger and better than ever. Expect a roaring bonfire, plenty of entertainment, free theme park rides, a scare maze and games, a bar and food units, plus much more.

Fireworks to Music Spectacular, Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park

When: 5.30pm-9pm, Monday November 5

Head down to Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park for a dazzling display of fireworks to a musical backdrop – the hugely popular annual spectacular boasts a funfair, food stalls and a bar so there’s plenty to keep you occupied before the fireworks light the sky at 7.30pm. There will also be a designated area in the car park for people to light sparklers.

Bath Rotary Club Fireworks Display

When: From 5.30pm, Saturday, November 3

Once again Bath Rotary Club will put on a fabulous firework display, with the Bath Abbey providing a picturesque backdrop. Refreshments will be available.

Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival

When: From 10.30am, Saturday November 3

Kicking off the celebrations at 10.30am, the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival will see the town centre come alive with the sounds of samba, marching bands, choirs, street performers and an array of live music.

The illuminated carnival floats will take to the streets in the evening and the fantastic Squibbing display will start at 10.45pm. Find out more about Somerset’s carnival trails and when they’ll be heading to your town here.

Fireworks Display at Clarks Village

When: 7pm, Saturday November 3

With Christmas just around the corner, Clarks Village is kicking off the festivities in style with a spectacular fireworks display. After the display, the village will be illuminated as the annual Christmas lights and decorations are switched on. Shops will also stay open until 8pm for the start of the Christmas shopping season.

Annual fireworks display, North Perrott Cricket Club

When: 6.30pm, Saturday November 3

Visitors can be assured of an evening of delicious food, fireworks and plenty of fun at North Perrott Cricket Club. The annual bonfire and firework display will begin at 6.30pm with the club house offering hot food and bar facilities. There’s even a sweet tent for little ones!

Bonfire Night with Spectacular Firework Display at Oake Manor, Taunton

When: 5pm-8pm, Saturday November 3

Tickets can be purchased on the gate only.

With the scenic rolling greenery of the surrounding golf course of Oake Manor, this is a picturesque spot to catch a fantastic display by Firestorm Pyrotechnics. There’s plenty of food and drink served from 5pm, and a free disco to enjoy after the display.

Hatch Fireworks at Taunton Racecourse

When: From 5.30pm, Monday, November 5

In association with Taunton’s 107.8 Tone FM, Hatch Charity Fireworks will once again be entertaining crowds at Taunton Racecourse. A licensed bar, children’s rides and plenty of tasty treats can be enjoyed all before an awe-inspiring firework display choreographed to music at 7pm.

Fireworks at Sea, Grand Pier in Weston-Super-Mare

When: From 6pm, Saturday November 17

Enjoy a dazzling firework display over the sea upon Weston-Super-Mare’s Grand Pier. Tickets includes unlimited rides.

Bonfire Night Fireworks Display at Puxton Park, near Weston-Super-Mare

When: 5pm-9pm, Saturday November 3

Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Once again the award-winning Fire Magic will wow the crowds at Puxton Park with an amazing fireworks display. There will also be children’s rides, attractions, a hog roast and BBQ and stalls for the whole family to enjoy.

Fireworks Night, Yeovil Showground

When: From 5pm, Saturday, November 3

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, enjoy a night to remember at Yeovil Lions Club and Yeovil Round Table annual family charity firework night. Enjoy a roaring bonfire, funfair rides, beer and cider bar, hog roast and the chance to be photographed with Marvel Avengers Superheroes.
