In the final concert of this year’s Millfield International Concert Series, award-winning pianist Joseph Moog comes to the Johnson Hall on May 9 to close the season

Playing on our very own Steinway Model D Concert Grand, described by Pascal Rogé as one of his ‘top 10 pianos of all time’, Joseph will wow the audience at Millfield’s Johnson Hall with his ability to combine exquisite technical skill with a mature and intelligent musicality.

An internationally acclaimed artist, Joseph has continued to impress audiences across the globe after winning Gramophone Young Artist of the Year in 2015. A champion of rare and forgotten repertoire, as well as composing his own works, Joseph was also GRAMMY nominated for his most recent concerto recording. Described by Radio Bremen as “…a treasure hunter with supernatural technical abilities…”, Joseph has earned a reputation as a formidable recitalist, last season opening the Master Pianists Series at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam as well as performing at the Moscow International House of Music, Louvre Auditorium in Paris among others. Plus, following his Wigmore debut in 2014, Joseph will return to the London venue for a series of recitals up to 2021.

Moog has an extensive discography and has received numerous awards for his recordings, as well as outstanding critiques from the international press. If you would like to be one of the lucky ones to attend what is guaranteed to be an outstanding display of world-class piano playing, please join us on the evening on Tuesday May 9 2017.

Millfield’s Director of Music, Matthew Cook commented; “We are exceptionally fortunate to host Joseph in Somerset before he travels to Manchester to perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto with the Hallé Orchestra and, at £15 per ticket, it really is not an occasion to be missed. I very much look forward to welcoming you to Millfield for this spectacular climax to the 2016/17 International Concert Series.”

To book tickets for this concert, please contact us on 01458 444404 or online. Tickets cost £15 per person.
