Prior Park's English House concert has raised an impressive £2,600 for two charities, 'Refuge Nepal' and 'Dorothy House'.

Prior Parks English House concert has raised an impressive 2,600 for two charities, Refuge Nepal and Dorothy House.

Students and teaching staff took part in an evening of singing, dancing and instrumentals followed by an auction of promises donated by parents.

Highlights include tutors performing a fantastic rendition of the Shoop Shoop song and students dressing up as jungle animals to perform I just cant wait to be King from The Lion King.

Refuge Nepal is a charity in Bristol set up to support young women who have been abandoned and abused and provides them with the necessary skills to be integrated back into society. Dorothy House is a popular charity for Prior Park College, having already touched the lives of many at the school.

Prior Park Headmaster, Mr James Murphy-OConnor, comments:

The concert was a fun-filled evening with a fantastic atmosphere, whilst also raising a considerable amount of money for two very worthy charities. Ive had lots of hugely positive feedback from parents the student performance of I just cant wait to be King even instigated the demand for an encore from parents!
