Judges were looking for the place with the tastiest cream tea or coffee and cake in the county, whether it's a little tea room, a bustling town café or a glamorous hotel

Winner: Cole Manor Tea Rooms

Judges said: Tucked away on a country lane between Bruton and Castle Cary, the award winning tea room is situated in an idyllic country setting, which despite its remote location has a loyal following of regular customers of all ages. Judges praised the friendly, welcoming service and freshly prepared homemade cakes, tray bakes and sandwiches.

Highly commended: Tiffany’s Edwardian Tea Rooms

Tiffany’s is situated on the iconic Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare boasting stunning panoramic views. Offering a wide menu selection alongside its popular traditional afternoon tea, there is something for everyone in this light and airy tea room.

Highly commended: Chantry Tea Gardens

The Chantry Tea Gardens in Kilve is known for serving excellent home made food at reasonable prices. Judges and customers alike said the service was great with cheery staff, a wide selection of homemade cakes and superb surroundings all offering to a relaxed, enjoyable experience.
