Best Hotel Restaurant of the Year

Best Hotel Restaurant of the Year

This category enables our numerous hotel restaurants to stand out from the crowd. We were looking for venues that offer a sublime dining experience with fantastic food, drink and superb service

The Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region’s food and drink industry all year round.

We champion the best local producers, suppliers and businesses that are passionate about Somerset and the future of our local environment.

Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the ‘Best Hotel Restautant’, sponsored by Westchem.

The finalists are:

Castle Bow Restaurant at the Castle Hotel in Taunton

The Castle Bow Restaurant offers casual fine dining in Taunton town centre. Serving the very best local, seasonal, West Country food in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Tarr Farm Inn & Hotel in Dulverton

The Tarr Farm Inn & Hotel take classic dishes and give them a contemporary twist to create exciting menus with influences from around the world, at the same time making full use of the abundance of excellent produce available locally.

And the winner is:

The Coleridge Restaurant at The Dunkery Beacon Country House Hotel in Wootton Courtenay, near Dunster

The Coleridge Restaurant at The Dunkery Beacon Country House Hotel offers a relaxed, friendly and sophisticated dining experience with a seasonally changing menu and a focus on locally sourced produce.

This award is sponsored by Westchem.
