This award recognises local producers whose passion for Somerset produce is at the heart of their business. It’s open to all producers who demonstrate a real passion for our county’s food and drink
The Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region’s food and drink industry all year round.
We champion the best local producers, suppliers and businesses that are passionate about Somerset and the future of our local environment.
Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the ‘Best Product/Producer Award’ Awards, sponsored by Porter Dodson.
This year’s finalists are:
Brown Cow Organics, Pilton
Brown Cow Organics produce Organic Beef and Organic Yoghurt from their award winning Farm in the village of Pilton. They specialise in bringing you the very best local fresh organic beef and organic yoghurt.
Moonbeams Farm, Wellington
Moonbeams Farm produces fine quality rare breed meat from their herd of pedigree Gloucester Old Spot pigs at their farm in Wellington.
Thatchers, Myrtle Farm
For over four generations Thatchers have been crafting quality cider on their family farm in Somerset and for more than a hundred years have been perfecting the magic that turns apples into cider.
And the winner is:
The Bath Soft Cheese Company produce Award-winning organic cheese made by hand at Park Farm, Kelston near Bath with milk from their own cows.
