Family Dining Award

Family Dining Award

Judges of this category were looking for a restaurant, café or pub which really meets the needs of family dining, by demonstrating attention to the requirements across the generations of diners both in terms of its food offering, atmosphere, entertainment, sense of theatre, and the variety of menu for guests regardless of age

The Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region’s food and drink industry all year round.

We champion the best local producers, suppliers and businesses that are passionate about Somerset and the future of our local environment.

Thanks to both the nominations of the public and our well-respected judges, we have picked a winner worthy of the ‘Family Dining Award’.

This year’s finalists are:

Lion Rock Tea Rooms, Cheddar

The Lion Rock Tea Rooms boast six different themed rooms including wood burners and open fires in the winter and with a secluded garden in the summer time, you will be spoilt for choice on where and when to visit with your family.

The Anchor Inn, Hillfarrance

The Anchor Inn, Hillfarrance – The Anchor Inn prepare top quality British food using the best local produce. They offer a warm welcome to families boasting their own play area and offer a great children’s menu.

And the winner is:

The Duck at Burtle

The dining experience at The Duck at Burtle is born from a passion to deliver honest and great tasting homemade food with a warm and friendly service. They are very welcoming to families and offer a superb menu for the little ones.
