The Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards is one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region's food and drink industry all year round.

We champion the he good and the great from the region's food & drink industry including local producers & suppliers, small farming businesses, chefs, restaurants, pubs and hoteliers, and people who care about the countryside and the future of our local environment.

'Newcomer of the Year' was open to anyone in the food and drink industry who had started a new venture in the past eighteen months. We wanted to know about the positive impact they have made on their local community and whether they have achieved success further afield.
