The Somerset Life team is excitedly counting up the votes for this year’s Food and Drink Awards.
Thank you to all our readers who have sent in their nominations.
We are excited to be able to name the 2013 finalists in the next issue so make sure you pick up your copy to see if your nomination made it through to the finals.
Voting is now closed.
All of the finalists voted for by you will be invited to a celebratory lunch at the venue @ Junction 24 to find out if they will walk away with an award.
The Venue @ J24, near North Petherton, is a great location to celebrate the Somerset Life Food and Drink Awards given the key role the venue plays within the local food and farming scene.
Again we would like to thank our sponsors, without whom this event would not be possible.
The awards are your chance to vote and support Somerset’s finest food and drink businesses.
Somerset is well-known for many great things - but the food and drink produced in this fine county have to be up there among its best attributes.
Living in Somerset we are surrounded by an abundance of great quality local produce and products.
When we hold the food and drink awards we are never disappointed by the quality of the entries.
These awards are designed to champion, highlight and offer a showcase to the good and the great from the region’s food and drink industry, including local producers and suppliers, small farming businesses, chefs, restaurants, pubs, hoteliers and people who care about the countryside and the future of our local environment.
The companies nominated are all voted for by you, our readers.
The three businesses from each category with the most reader votes are put through to the finals when our panel of judges will then select a shortlist and then the independent judging process will begin. n
