The Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards took place at the beautiful Brympton Manor, Yeovil last night September 15. Guests gathered to celebrate the region’s food and drink industry in one of the biggest events in the Somerset calendar. Here we announce the winners
Over three months readers have been voting in their hundreds to decide the worthy finalists in each category. With this year’s Awards receiving a record numbers of votes, it is clear to see how passionate Somerset Life readers are when it comes to their food and drink. Judges deliberated hard when it came to crowning the winner of each category and read on to see who took home the award in each category.
Best Restaurant/Fine Dining Experience of the Year

Butcher of the Year
This award supports and celebrates local independent butchers and recognises their invaluable contribution to Somerset’s food scene.

In one of the most competitive categories, here we looked for the tastiest cream tea or coffee and cake in the county, whether in a little tea room, a bustling town café or a glamorous hotel.
