Burnhams Moose international lodge 123 enjoyed another entertainment success when Bob Reynolds New Society Jazz Band wowed a full auditorium with the spirit of New Orleans, whilst The Battered Fryer of Oxford Street delivered over a hundred and twenty portions of fish and chips to the hungry audience during the interval.

The backdrop of an ancient inn, from the forthcoming BEES show Beauty and The Beast brought extra atmosphere to the event, when for several hours, the venue was transported into another era where jazz was king and customers supplied by waiter service.

During the evening there was a ten minute refreshment break, after which Bobs jazz band return to the stage prompted enthusiastic applause and cheering from the floor.

Organiser Terry Cornelius said; There was a fantastic response to ticket sales, and many people rang only to be disappointed. Customers travelled from far and wide, and we could easily have sold 200 tickets, had we the room.

Audience member Albert Lawrence added; It was brilliant evening, the chips were all served hot and we all left very satisfied.
