Murdered To Death by Peter Gordon is the latest production by GADS and is a comedy thriller set in the 1930s. We find that when the long serving, long suffering Police Constable Thomkins is sent to an old country manor, belonging to the moderately wealthy Mildred Bagshot, to investigate a murder, he is dismayed to find he is in the company of an aptly named Inspector Pratt. Others present in the manor include Colonel & Mrs Craddock, old friends of Mildred, Pierre Marceau, a French Art Dealer accompanied by Elizabeth Hartley-Trumpington, a very high society young lady who looks on disdainfully as Dorothy, Mildreds companion and housekeeper, and Bunting the Butler attend to their needs. An unexpected arrival is Mrs Joan Maple who, in keeping with Agatha Christie plays and the TV series Murder, She Wrote, seems to bring bad luck wherever she alights, in the shape of murder most foul. Whodunnit to who and why is revealed amidst the chaos of Pratts investigation. Will the cast survive or will the audience die laughing first? Find out by watching this amateur production presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd in Godney Village Hall on Thu 12th, Fri 13th and Sat 14th July 2012 at 7.30pm daily (doors open 7.00pm).
