An enjoyable, early summer outing for young and old will be found at the Lions Cub of Devizes annual May Fair on Bank Holiday Monday 2 May. As in recent years, events will bein and around the Market Place, with music, side shows, stands, refreshments, Punch and Judy and more. There will be stalls in the historic Shambles market, and antiques & collectors sales in the impressive Corn Exchange.

With no charge for entry, the Club will be collecting as usual for its charity funds which are usedto help worthwhile causes, mostly in the local area. Requests for help are many, so the people of Devizes and surrounds are invited to come along, enjoy the day, and - as usual - give generously.

The Clubs fund-raising event after the May Fair will be the annual Charity Golf Day on 11 May on the magnificent downland course of the North Wilts Golf Club. The event is run jointly with the Rotary Club of Devizes, and funds raised will be shared by the Clubs for distribution locally. Details of all the Clubs events can be found in the local press and at www.devizeslions.og.uk
