Holy Trinity Church Frome will host a performance of the Faur Requiem on Saturday March 23rd at 7.30pm.
It will see the first concert performance in the town by one the Wests newest mixed-voice choirs, The Bath Chorus. They are led by Baths music man Grenville Jones and include many talented young singers.
Since the auditioned choir was formed they have sung around the region including stage performances with Aled Jones and Hayley Westenra, as well as concerts at Wells Cathedral and on numerous occasions to full houses at Bath Abbey.
Grenville leads a number of choirs including the Last Choir Standing Bath Male Choir who sang at last years Frome Festival finale. In July he received an honorary degree from Bath Spa University, recognising his growing UK reputation as a choral leader.
The first half of the Holy Trinity concert will include choral items for Passiontide with the Requiem following the interval.
Organist is Paul Dowbekin and tickets priced 10 are now available from the Cheese and Grain Box Office 01373 455420 or from the church office on 01373 453425.
