If you havent been to Bridgwater Colleges Lambing event before, then put the date in your diary for a real treat!
This years event offers more things to see and do than ever before, including: falconry displays; sheep dog demonstrations; sheep shearing; ferret racing; Punch and Judy; tractor trailer rides; bouncy castle; new born lambs and trader stalls, selling an array of cider, cheese, sweets, gifts and lots, lots more.
The event is on from 11am 4pm on Sunday 3 March at Rodway Farm, Cannington (five miles out of Bridgwater on the Hinkley Point road free parking). A family ticket is only 12 (for two adults, three children), or 4 per adult, 3 per child (under 1s free) or buy your tickets from the online store and receive more than 20% discount!
Jeremy Kerswell, Head of Land-based Studies at the College says: Despite the weather last year, we were delighted so many people put on their wellies and decided to join us for the day. The tractor trailer rides and sheep shearing were especially popular with the children, and everyone seemed to enjoy browsing around the product stalls of homemade jams, chutneys and cheeses. We saw more than eight lambs born during the day, including a set of triplets and twins. We are looking forward to welcoming familiar faces as well as new visitors to Rodway Farm.
