Held on the first weekend of August against the stunning backdrop of Vivary Park, Taunton Flower Show is a great day out for everyone
You don't need to be a gardening enthusiast to appreciate the many delights the Taunton Flower Show has to offer, though if you are, there's plenty for those with green fingers.
The show is packed with entertainment to discover from a range of bands and singers in the Festival Village or while discovering culinary delights at Fountain Green. There's even an inflatable bar and a fantastic Food Hall full of artisan food to taste and buy.
As a great way of keeping the whole family entertained watch The BMX Show in the arena, where there will also be a meet and greet and a participation area for those who would like to have a go themselves.
Fuse Performance will also be performing aerial acrobatics and there's a fantastic marching band that will be performing throughout both days.
Another great spot for the family is the Children's Area with an abundance of entertainment to keep the little ones amused, or pop along to the Bees and Honey Tent for a chance to find the Queen Bee, taste some honey and watch beekeeping demonstrations.
The Competition Marquee is also a fantastic draw and always extremely popular with large displays of photography, baking, craftwork, home grown fruit, vegetables and floral arrangements.
Horticultural enthusiasts will have plenty to discover inside the Plant Village and Floral Marquee where you can pick up advice from experts on hand, do a spot of shopping, admire the fantastic floral displays and gardens and find a real bargain.
There's also an abundance of stands selling the latest garden accessories, gadgets and machinery, or pop along to vote for your favourite Designer Garden, built especially for the show; these beautiful plots are a great way of showing what can be achieved in a small space and built in a matter of days.
The Craft Village is a lovely location for browsing the locally-made products on display, then visit the Rural Craft Area, which has always been popular with demonstrators including blacksmiths and even stick makers.
If you fancy a trip to this year's show, discounted tickets are now available at tauntonfs.co.uk. Children go free.
