Sarah Ford enters a fairytale land at The Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre, Taunton
For anyone who has ever wished they could enter the magical world of Narnia through a wardrobe, the latest enchanting production at The Brewhouse is the next best thing.
The theatre and arts centre in Taunton has been transformed into a wooded winter wonderland for The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe which runs until 31 December.
On the opening night local school pupils, dressed appropriately as Second World War evacuees, were on hand to entertain audiences waiting in the foyer before this magical show directed by the theatres Director Robert Miles.
The Brewhouse never disappoints when it comes to its festive offerings and this years dazzling production is filled with mythical creatures, songs and a delightful cast.
The actors include award winning Caroline Horton as the suitably scary stilt-wearing White Witch, and actor and singer Aaron Romano who is majestic as the great lion Aslan.
For the performers Max Saunders and Joanna Calderwood, who play Edmund and Lucy, this is their first professional production in their home county. For others, such as Daniel Copeland, who plays the eccentric Professor Digory Kirke, this is a welcome return back to this impressive Somerset theatre.
