To celebrate 200 years of racing, Bath Racecourse has launched a commemorative ale in partnership with local brewery Bath Ales. After a public competition to name the bicentenary brew the winning name was selected as The Wobbly Jockey.

The winning name was entered by Julie Bush from Warmley and was chosen by Bath Racecourse general manager Holly Glover, who had over 200 entries to choose from.

Runner up entries included Thoroughbrewed, Thirst Past the Post and Barley and Blinkers.

The Wobbly Jockey ale will be presented to all winning connections across the 128 races throughout the season as well as key clients and sponsors at the course.

Holly Glover, General Manager at Bath Racecourse said Were really happy with The Wobbly Jockey as a name for our commemorative ale, its a really imaginative and humorous entry! We are currently having the ale bottled by Bath Ales in readiness for the start of the season on Tuesday 19th April where it will be truly unique gift which we can present to our winning connections.
