Prior Park students and staff raised over 3,500 for charity after an action-packed week of space hopper races, bush tucker trials, comedy netball matches and fancy dress.
The Prior Park Charity Week happens every two years and, this year, students and staff worked harder than ever to raise money for some very worthy House charities. Staff highlights included the Sackett soaking which meant Housemaster, Mr Sackett, having cold custard poured over his head by students, whilst two other teachers, Ms Blake and Mr Francis, dressed up as a monkey and whoopee cushion respectively.
In addition, the Headmaster and Deputy Headmaster took part in a Bushtucker trial organised by students and were made to eat disgusting substances such as dog food and raw egg.
Student highlights included a very entertaining boys versus girls netball match, a staff versus student university challenge competition, face painting and shoe shining.
Prior Park Headmaster, Mr James Murphy-OConnor, comments:
This years Charity Week was a huge success and we have raised a good deal of money for some extremely worthy causes, whilst also having a lot of fun. Students and staff put their all into this week and it has certainly paid off, so thank you to everyone who took part. We are already looking forward to the next Charity Week.
