There's something fishy going on at Monkton Elm's restaurant this yuletide, as Swordfish becomes the new welcome addition to the menu.

Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre at Monkton Heathfield will be serving chargrilled swordfish as a Christmas lunch option. The lunches will be available from November 26 until December 21.
Norma Moore, General Manager of the independent, family-run garden centre, said: We wanted to offer our customers something a bit different for their Christmas lunch, so theres traditional lamb and turkey or our vegetarian option, but weve also got swordfish on the menu too for those feeling more adventurous.
Christmas lunches at Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre cost 15.99 for a two-course meal or 18.99 for a three-course meal.
Norma added: For starters, we have tiger king prawn cocktail, chefs homemade soup of the day or chicken pt pot. For the main course people can choose from roast turkey, chargrilled swordfish, Barnsley lamb chop or our vegetarian option of baked filo pastry parcels filled with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and giant couscous.
All main courses are served with new and roast potatoes, honey roast parsnips and seasonal vegetables.
For dessert customers can choose from traditional Christmas pudding, cheese and biscuits or make a selection from our sweet trolley. There will also be a selection of coffees and an after dinner mint available.
Were fully licensed to serve alcohol too, so customers who are over 18-years-old can also enjoy an in-house bottle of wine.
People are advised to check all details, including dates and times, with the garden centre before travelling any distance. Booking is essential. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
The Christmas lunch three-course menu will be available from Monday, November 26 until Friday, December 21.
