How does it feel to be back in Bristol again for Fashion Week?

I had such a fantastic time at Bristol Fashion Week last season so I’m delighted everyone liked it and I can’t wait to come back. It really opened my eyes to just how much great stuff is available on the high street right now.

What are your favourite shops on the high street?

Mark and I went to Topshop last time for a rummage – I saw loads of stuff in there that I liked. I’m such a high street girl at heart. I love Warehouse. Last time at Bristol Fashion Week I wore a few things from John Lewis as well – they have some great brands in there, like Ted Baker, which are very wearable.

What trends do you love at the moment?

There are going to be a lot of off the shoulder styles coming in for spring, which I think can look really lovely. Ruffles and florals are also big news, which are very girly, so that’s really a comfort zone for a lot of people. I also like to glam up with very high heels and I know there are a few of those coming in.

How would you describe your style?

It depends what I’m doing. If I’m on the school run, then it’s practical – jeans, a warm jacket (I really like biker-style jackets) and boots. If I’m going out, then obviously I’ll make more effort – I try to stick to things that work for my body shape. Dresses are easy because it’s just one piece and then you’re done!

Do you think you dress differently now that you’re a mum?

Yes, I think you do naturally change a bit. I do have to be more practical when I’m running around with my daughter, but then again when I do go out I make more effort because you end up doing it less.

Bristol Fashion Week features 17 catwalk shows, showcasing the latest trends from the high street with fashion to suit every age, budget and size. Tickets are available from mallcribbs.com and start from £8.95 for a standard ticket, £9.95 for a second row ticket and £13.95 for a front row ticket.
